The project will aim to change the lives of young people and communities across the UK. Scout leaders and young people spoke at the event, hoping to highlight the success of Scouting in deprived areas. They also explained what Scouting brings to communities and shared experiences of how Scouting is affecting young lives across the UK.
MP’s were also given the chance to engage one-to-one with the people associated with The Scouts Association in order to get a full understanding of the Association’s importance.
David Amess MP said “This was a fabulous event and I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to learn about the future plans of The Scout Association. They carry out truly wonderful work around the country and I am very proud to say that they have a strong influence within my constituency.”
